Project Control Specialist (Charlottesville, VA)
We are currently looking to hire a Program Controls
Specialist that will be responsible for project
schedules/tracking and cost management for a
government funded scientific project. Program Controls
Specialist must have exceptional communication skills,
be a self-starter as well as a team player. Experience
with project planning, scheduling, cost performance
tracking and risk management required. Need to
understand concepts of EVMS.
Experience: 10+ years of project control or
equivalent experience. Comprehensive knowledge and
mastery of the Project Control field with the ability
to complete difficult and complex assignments.
Previous experience implementing a project management
control system (PMCS). Hands-on contribution to the
development and maintenance of Work Breakdown
Structures (WBSs) as well as the implementation of
Earned Value methodologies are required. Must have
excellent Word, Excel, and Project Management software
(e.g., Primavera, Open Plan, Microsoft Project and
COBRA) skills. Excellent communication skills, both
written and oral, are essential.

Project Document Control Manager (Pasadena, CA)
DESCRIPTION / DUTIES: Triad Project Management
is currently recruiting for a Document Control Manager
to design, implement and manage a mission critical
Document Control system for a multi-million dollar
astronomical instrumentation project. The ideal
candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and
organizational skills that facilitating interaction
with senior management to develop and implement a
modern document control system without the advantage
of an existing infrastructure. The result of the
Document Control Manager’s efforts will be the
implementation of a Document Control system and
processes supported by best practices and cutting edge
technology. This position will be responsible for
implementing, managing, and developing a Document
Control process that incorporates the use of the
latest industry technologies and off the shelf
Document Management tools as well as a complex
electronic workflow, filing, and archiving process.
They will define detailed Policies and Procedures to
support the achievement of Document Control process
objectives. They will work with Department managers to
resolve issues, define priorities, and ensure the
objectives of the Document Control process are met.
They will also perform document scanning and coding in
support of creating complete electronic archives in
the Document Control system. Additional duties will
include development of a training program for staff
involved in Document Control, working with technical
staff to manage implementation and rollout of the
Document Imaging and Retrieval system, ensuring that
required documents are accessible and retrievable in
support of day to day operations, legal proceedings,
and audits, managing content quality and completeness
of Document Control/Imaging system. They will also
provide the Project’s Management support and
maintenance of Document Control/Imaging system
including resolving and/or coordinating the resolution
of user issues and implementation of new user
requirements. The candidate will need to have the
ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
EXPERIENCE: At least five years of Document
Control experience using a Document Imaging and
Retrieval system (extensive knowledge of electronic
document indexing structures and numbering, scanning
documents into imaging software) as well as two years
of managerial experience. Ten years of experience in a
related field (Document Control); experience working
with large scale engineering projects preferable.
Hands-on expertise in designing, implementing and
managing document control systems to manage complex
processes and to optimize performance is a must. The
ideal candidate understands key process issues and
works with team members to drive process improvement,
has superior organizational skills coupled with strong
attention to detail, and can operate effectively in a
collaborative environment. Must have experience with
government business operations systems, knowledge of
academic, and scientific research organizations and
work flows. Good writing and presentation skills are
absolutely required. Expert use of various software
applications such as MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Adobe
Acrobat (PDF), and MS Access required. At least 2
years Administrative use of Xerox DocuShare Document
Management system or other document management system
preferred. Strong ability to program and develop
Access databases as well as Webmaster, html skills
highly desirable.
EDUCATION: BA/BS preferably in business
administration or library science with information
technology experience.
Senior Cost Estimator (Pasadena, CA & East Lansing, MI)
We're currently seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to
develop, document, present and deliver high quality,
substantiated, and timely cost estimates.
Required Skills: Background in business,
estimating, mathematics, statistics, economics and
engineering. Proven leadership qualities, good
communicative skills, proficient analytical abilities,
an understanding of engineering and development
processes. Capability to develop prepared cost
estimates, familiarity with cost and schedule
analysis, design to cost, parametric cost estimate
development, detail cost estimating, cost research and
systems engineering. Additional capabilities include
the development of WBS Structures, WBS Dictionary, and
a SOW.
Desired Skills: Program business office, cost
analysis, cost estimating, data collection/analysis.
Microsoft Office and above average Access Database
skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with EVMS (earned value system). The
successful candidate should have specialized knowledge
of cost and price analysis principles and techniques.
Some experience: pulling together the entire project
cost data, leading an engineering trade study, and
working with engineers and scientist preparing for a
design review.
